"Debate is the Heart of Liberty"

INLAND EMPIRE DEBATING SOCIETY

Have you been wondering what the Occupy movement is all about?
At its Sunday, January 8, 2012, 3:00 p.m. meeting, The Inland Debating Society will present Spokesperson Sean McDuffee representing the Occupy Movement in Redlands.  The Redlands Occupy Movement has recently occupied Redlands City Hall, Congressman Lewis’ Office, several of the banks in downtown Redlands and the Redlands Police Station.
The meeting will be held at the Denny's Restaurant in Redlands, California off the no. 10 freeway 1180 Alabama Avenue.

The Occupy Movement has developed its 99 percent declaration calling for the convening of a National General Assembly for the week of July 4, 2012, in the City Of Philadelphia to prepare and ratify a Petition for a Redress of Grievances on behalf of the Ninety-Nine Percent of United States citizens.
Its declaration can be viewed at:  https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/

Our debate topic this month is:
Resolved: Corporations are not individuals and should not have the same rights as individuals to contribute campaign donations and influence elections in the United States.
