The Inland Empire Debating Society was established 15 years ago in 1997.
Mission Statement
The Inland Empire Debater's Society was formed for the purpose of bringing to the citizenry of the inland empire, accurate
and thoroughly researched debates on all issues of the day. By doing so, we hope to stimulate better voter participation and
to develop a more enlightened electorate.
It probably can be agreed that the unvarnished truth is a scarce commodity
in today's huckstering society, and it is almost impossible to find a voice that does not speak with a spin, or represent
some self-serving interest. The effect of this on the voting public has been to create a feeling of cynicism and lack of trust
in leadership at all levels of government.
Although we can never make this a perfect world, it behooves us all
to do what we can to improve it, and that is what the Inland Empire Debating Society is striving to do.
